As a yogi, my primary focus is to bring a healthier, more peaceful lifestyle to as many people as I can. As an athlete, yoga brought to the surface a realization that we must conserve our bodies and honor our minds. After receiving my MA in Education, I began to explore how my yoga could help others. Along with my partner, Adam, Soul was born.

This studio was built with the goal of offering the highest level of energy, vitality and freedom - creating an atmosphere that nurtures natural expansion and growth. We all have deep wells of insight and creativity that are waiting to be tapped by the strong roots of yoga. I hope you join me in this journey. Namaste.

Ten years ago I came to a point in my life where I needed something for me, for my body and for my mind. I had tried a variety of exercise programs but nothing gave me the satisfaction that I was looking for, until I stumbled upon a Park District yoga class. As a professional dietician caring for seniors with Dementia and memory loss, my days were challenging yet yoga created a balance.

I developed my foundations in Anusara inspired Vinyasa Flow. I have also had extensive studies in the practice of Iyengar and therapeutic yoga. I received my 200 hour RYT Certification from my mentor, Silvia Mordini, received a certification in Prenatal Yoga and later completed my Personal Trainer Certification through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America.

I believe the practice of Yoga enhances and improves the quality of our lives. When our lives become more demanding, it is essential that we take time to nurture our minds and heal our bodies. I feel privileged to share the physical and mental benefits of Yoga with individuals from all walks of life.

I found yoga in 2008 and practiced regularly mainly for the physical benefits. After struggling with mild bouts of depression, I found that yoga became my sanctuary. The mental and spiritual benefits of yoga became equally important to me. I wanted to delve deeper into the origins of yoga, so I began my teacher training program in 2011.

I received my 200 hour RYT certificate in April of 2012 from Ally Ford at White Orchid Yoga in Clearwater, Florida. I now teach an Ashtanga-based "vinyasa flow" yoga, mixed with powerful strength-based poses. I am a lover of all styles of yoga and am devoted to the spiritual enlightenment that all of them bring to my life.
